Wimmer does the right thing
Hanging at the Legislature...

If you remember — how could you forget? — an anti-gay-marriage demonstrator confronted openly lesbian Rep. Chris Johnson and told the Salt Lake lawmaker that she is "a waste of a vagina."

To his credit, ex-cop Rep. Carl Wimmer, a leader in the opposition to civil unions, not only met with Johnson, but made a public statement that he would have nothing to do with such crass behavior.

Chris and I don't agree on much — Chris and I don't agree on anything. But I won't stand by and see her mistreated.

The same group of demonstrators, America Forever, crashed a press conference called by Johnson and started aggressively questioning gay rights leaders. Wimmer, himself, stepped in.
I called the state troopers and had them ejected.

Wimmer is just a life support system for a penis.

Representative Wimmer make me proud to be an ex-cop too. Glad to see him having the hate mongers ejected. There should be always respectful dialog on all issues.

I would really like HB 160 with a few words modified to pass. Kill the HB 267, as it is not going to pass as worded and change HB 160 as follows:

Line 148 (2) If the persons designated in Subsection (1)(b) a

I know people that are living with someone and they have kids. I don't know why the don't get married. HB 160 could fix it so the stuff they have gets divided out as if they are married. It doesn't use the terms for same-sex or sexual orientation. It does require (2)18 year olds to sign it.

Well, gee, Carl, I wonder what kind of people you might get when you help organize a protest intent on bashing families that aren't like yours.

Did he do the right thing here? Yeah, he did. Those comments were disgusting.

But the protest, and the opposition to these bills is in itself disrespectful, mean-spirited, and undemocratic. The common grounds initiative is pro-family. These protesters are pro-hate AND anti-family.

Anonymous #1 on this blog is just as bad, if not worse than the Chris Johnson basher!
Get a life
