Kilt lewdness in Vernal
Ben and Julie Flake write the Vernal Express to say that the eternal (some say interminable) musical Brigadoon, being performed at Uintah High [corrected, thanks], would be much improved if the songs and dancing were removed.With out suggestive movements, let alone songs, it could have been so much cleaner and more appropriate. We were saddened that such attitudes and actions would be encouraged among our youth in this way.The musical would be mercifully shorter too, though we'd miss a lot of manly leg.
Perhaps, the Flakes (can that really be their name?) would prefer the manga version.

Looks like they filmed Footloose in the wrong town.
I am so very tired of those who are scared of everything - and look for 'lewdness' everywhere. "Is it clean?" Are we talking about laundry or a play? Get out and smell the roses - stop seeking out the turds along the way.
It's Uintah High School, not Vernal High. Having grown up in that backward town, it is no surprise that they were offended by it in addition to apparently having never heard of this musical before. Guess they weren't around when the high school had to extend its run of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" which featured singing, dancing, suggestive comments and movements. OMG! Stay home you idiots.

Where is your journalistic integrity....it is safe to assume that in the world according to Glen...if the city is named Beaver, the local HS must be Beaver High or Fillmore Beaver High.....to bad for you Glen there is not a Bum-Fuck or Fudge Packer, Utah?
