Barack's going to be bummed
You, however, won't be shocked to learn from the Deseret News that Utah's congressional delegation — all but one being Republican — are giving President Barack Obama low marks on his first 100 days in office. The response of Rep. Rob Bishop (a wholly owned subsidiary of toxic waste-dumper Energy Solutions) is typical:I think what he's done with the Somali pirates, that's very positive. I like that. To build the F-35 (Joint Strike Fighter), is good. But cutting the crap out of the rest of the military doesn't help.It's also not much of a surprise that Rep. Jim Matheson, whom many of his constituents will be stunned to learn is a Democrat, is lukewarm on his new president's debut:
I've had some issue about trying to drive some of the big issues of the day in a more partisan way than I'd like … On the big issues of the day, you've got to have bipartisanship.With Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter's defection to the Democrats yesterday, Matheson may feel emboldened to put the word "Democrat" in his campaign literature.

That's because anything that doesn't already either enrich their already-rich friends, or doesn't fit into the Obama/sama/islamocommunist/liberal/fascist/born in Kenya/no birth certificate mindset that they have beamed into their heads from FauxNews and Glen Beck, is automatically bad and of course, comes straight from the R&D department of Satan Inc. What a bunch of losers!
Amazing how a 3% hike in military spending becomes a 'huge cut in military spending' to the right wing. Someone tell Matheson that bipartisanship only works if the Republicans meet the President half way, and there is no sign of that happening. Just look at Jason Chaffetz' voting record (see today's article on him) and his thuggish demeanor on the floor of the House. The right cannot see past Boss Limbaugh's blustery and racist rhetoric. Time for the GOP to grow up, concede defeat, and start working with the President or they will lose even more Senators to the Dems.
