Texas justice

• With some old fashion Texas justice, a jury in Eldorado, Tex., found FLDS member Raymond Merril Jessop guilty of sexual assault of a child. He'll be sentenced Monday. According to the local newspaper:
A half smile played on his face as he nodded to FLDS men in the makeshift courtroom.
• You have to wonder if Hill Air Force Base will tweak its simulated attack training next week following the shootings at Ft. Hood, Tex. The base near Layton is warning its civilian neighbors not to panic if they hear sirens and explosions and see smoke rising from the base.
• Reports released by the Transportation Security Administration reveal very little in the dispute between Rep. Jason Chaffetz and officers, except that they obviously thought Chaffetz was a jerk.
Chaffetz: "Do you know who I am?"
TSA officer: "No."
C: "I'm Congressman Chaffetz and I'm the one trying to get rid of that s---." (Points at body imaging machine.)
Chaffetz demands "the highest person" in charge and hands over his congressional business card. Officer chuckles.Chaffetz: "Is this funny to you?"
Officer: "No. It's just the way you're acting."
