Networks Catch the Olympic Fever
![]() When the rights for the 2014 and 2016 Olympics are up for bidding in the next six to nine months, NBC is going to have a lot of competition, according to The Hollywood Reporter. ESPN said it's going to throw in a bid. As well as Fox and possibly CBS. NBC has the exclusive U.S. rights to air the Olympics for Vancouver in 2010 and London in 2012, dishing out more than $2 billion for the priveledge. Given that these Beijing Games in progress now have yielded incredible viewership numbers, the bids are likely going to be high for the next set of Games.
