To Heck With Swimming, Who's Your Favorite Actress?
Michael Phelps just won his unprecedented eighth gold medal, his record 14th gold medal, achieved something that will never be broken in our lifetime, and became one of the greatest sports figures of all time earlier this week.
So what does the television tabloid show, "Extra," ask him?
"Who are you dating?"
Don't you just love/hate tabloids?
"Extra" sent me a press release touting their interview with the Olympic swimmer, and they wanted to know if he was dating fellow swimmer Amanda Beard. (No, he's not). They asked him who he's dating. (Not telling, he says). They wanted to know his reaction to news that singer Carrie Underwood has a crush on him. (That's news to him). And they wanted to know what leading lady should star in a movie about him (he thought Cameron Diaz should, even though she can't act out of a paper bag, or an Olympic-sized swimming pool).
There. News you could use.
To think the poor kid (by the way, doesn't he look just dreamy in the above picture?) is going to have to endure that kind of crap for the rest of his life.
