Indeed, in the 2004 election, a voter who attended church at least once a week was far more likely to vote for President Bush.
With those stark poll numbers (and political expediency) as a guide, intrepid Democrats set forth into the wilderness in 2005 to recapture the faith of the faith-based voter.
Verily, it was July 2005 when Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, (a Sunday school teacher in his LDS ward), announced a new Web site to reach out to religious voters.
Through it all, it seems, Reid has continued to heed the counsel of Hebrews 12:1, "let us run with patience the race that is set before us."
Patience, indeed.
The site hasn't been updated since August 2005.
Amen.

The Bible hasn't been updated in a few thousand years, and it still works.
But Harry Reid's site HAS been updated. Six press releases in the first six days of September. 36 in August.
Diety seems to govern by small moves with seismic impact. Maybe He(She?) and Harry Reid are working together.
