Then you've gotta take a look at this clip of Shurtleff taking on MSNBC talking head Tucker Carlson, who argues that polygamist guru Warren Jeffs didn't deserve to be on the FBI's Top Ten Wanted List.
Shurtleff didn't exactly dismantle Carlson the way comedian Jon Stewart did a couple of years ago on CNN's Crossfire. But he landed some pretty solid jabs.
None more impressive than the hand-puppet move when challenging Carlson's information-lite "spout off."
He also told the TV guy he was "full of himself." That was in response to Carlson accusing the A.G. of going after Jeffs only because the polyg's "titillating" alleged crimes would bring Shurtleff lots of publicity.
Even though Carlson gets a bonus point for losing the idiotic bowtie that used to be his trademark, the win goes to Shurtleff.

Props to Ed Partridge, the proprietor of the "Part of the Plan" blog for being the first Utah blogger on this story!

It is an entertaining video and after watching it the second time I have to agree with you that Shurtleff came off slightly better than Carlson in the exchange...but they both look pretty dumb. I think a more reasonable tone would have gone a long way for Shurtleff.
I rather thought that Shurtleff looked like an idot. Carlson said what I have said many times -- that putting Jeffs on the "most Wanted" list is just silly. shurtleff went way off topic in a rant about how this guy does bad to many people, which Carlson properly includes things that are not the government's business. The point of the story? Get Shurtleff another job, where we do not have to listen to his santimonious crap.
i just want to know who paid for shurtless' trip to israel. and what does that have to do with being attorney general of utah?
Sounds like he's been on his knees doing some fund raising. Not much worse than james evans.
