"I think he (Hastert) should stay and I believe what he has said so far," the loyal Republican solider told the Tribune editorial board.
"I don't know squat about the issue," he said of the expanding investigation into who knew what, when regarding resigned Congressman Mark Foley's unhealthy interest in high-school age boys serving as volunteer pages in the House. "I don't know anything."
Bishop had no recommendations for any changes of leadership or in the way Congress runs the page program.
But he did come up with one suggestion: reactivate the old Attorney General's Commission on Pornography. You know like the one 20 years ago that solved so many problems when Edwin Meese was the nation's top law enforcement official (before he resigned over a defense contract scandal.)
The commission's 2,000-page report reported a causal link between violent porn and aggressive behavior which was criticized by some scholars as biased and inaccurate.
But Bishop says the Foley scandal may be just the launching pad for a new Attorney General's Commission on Pornography, saying one knowledgable source told him the disgraced congressman's actions looked "like a classic case of pornography addiction."
"If nothing else, I think one of the things this indicates is maybe we actually should (reauthorize the commission,)" he said. "Maybe this is one of those things that could spur on that which may be something positive that could come out of this sordid affair."

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX THU OCT 5 2006 2:53:48 ET XXXXX
CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the investigation.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.
Developing...
Um, if it was a prank, then why did former Rep. Mark Foley resign?
And although Rolly may love those meeces to pieces, the former attorney general's last name is spelled "Meese."
Boy there's a substantive source, the Drudge Report. Matt Drudge made his career bloviating about every stain on Monica Lewinsky's dress, and that sure did us all a lot of good, didn't it? $100 million to prove...that Bill Clinton had a wandering eye. Drudge has some skeletons in his Republican closet, too; just google "drudge and eggs." But then it's OK if you're a Republican; OK to be a drug addict who takes Viagra on trips to the child sex capitol of the world, like Rush Limbaugh; OK to waste millions on gambling and S&M mistresses like William Bennett, OK to stalk underage pages like Mark Foley and then blame it on the victims. After all, the Republicans are the party of Moral Value (TM), right?
Quit worrying about a few repubs queering up some underage boys.
This is a good way to get back at the patriarchy. Those boys will grow up to be men and then they'll always be thinking about giving to the girls.
Now the little bas----- can get a taste first.
