Stowe took advantage of public comment time at the Legislature's Redistricting Committee to question the reasoning behind the prevailing GOP principle of giving every congressional district a rural and an urban component.
We spare you the details, but the committee listened respectfully. Then Senate chairman Curt Bramble who delivered a rhetorical smackdown of the youthful D and moved on to other business.
Feel no shame, Christopher, you join a pantheon of Democratic lawmakers, journalists, environmentalists and unwary citizens who have succumbed to Bramble's, er, charm.
"It felt great," said Stowe of being shanked by the newly minted Majority Leader. "I least I stood up to say something."
To Bramble's credit, and apparently realizing he had just waffle-stomped a kitten, he complimented Stowe on having the courage to address the committee.
Stowe live blogged the meeting at www.ydems.blogspot.com.

"waffle-stomped"
Brilliant turn of phrase.
Thank you Christopher for standing up. Until we can get a groundswell of people like yourself to stand up we are forever going to have a legistlaure filled with the Brambles and Buttars of the world.
