''My goodness this is a lot of kids.''
That was a colleague's first impression as I passed around Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's holiday card. A picture of the Romney family is the cover of the card, and goodness, there are a lot of them. Mitt, his wife Ann, his five sons, five daughers-in-law and nine grandkids. All cute as a button.
Governors all over send out generic holiday cards this time of year -- check this out-- especially those eyeing the White House in 2008.
''May we give thanks during this holiday season for the many blessings we enjoy with our families and pray for those who have sacrificed to ensure our liberty and peace,'' the card reads in side. ''With our best wishes for the New Year.''
It also includes a quote from Isaiah 60:1, ''Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.''
Here's betting he sent a few to South Carolina.
