A righteous man
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney feted a crowd of Republican National Committee members last night at the tony Washington restaurant Olives. And, apparently, it went very well.

National Committeewoman from South Carolina, Cindy Costa, an evangelical, introduced Romney at the event, mentioning God three times, according to a source who attended.

Costa reportedly introduced Romney, saying -- according to the reliable source -- "Every so often God raises up a righteous man He needs as a leader of men."

A few blocks up the street, Arizona Sen. John McCain treated other committee members at Arcadia restaurant. Not sure how many people attended, but Romney apparently attracted a fair number of the committee.

"It was a packed house," according to the source, "and Mitt was treated like a star."
