Cruisin' aboard the USS Rocky
Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson soon will have a captive audience for his next diatribe against the Bush administration, the news media, the nation's energy policies.
He will be one of the featured speakers on a seminar cruise hosted by the liberal weekly The Nation.
The cruise will depart from Seattle and tour Alaska and Victoria, British Columbia, from July 28 through Aug. 4.
The tour will serve as a fundraiser for The Nation. A subscriber, Anderson was featured on the weekly's cover after his second anti-Bush speech in Salt Lake City last summer.
Other scheduled cruise speakers include former presidential candidate and consumer advocate Ralph Nader and actor Richard Dreyfuss, along with Nation editors and writers.

Are cruise ships environmentally friendly? I think we should impose carbon taxes on luxury items such as cruise ships.
They better not have any bottled water on board either.
