The state hasn't gone for a Democratic presidential candidate since LBJ in 1964. Bill Clinton finished third here in 1992 and Utah for the last two
elections delivered George Bush his largest margins of victory. But Utah's delegation actually got the No. 1 pick of housing in Denver.
"It was the luck of the draw," explains state party executive director Todd Taylor. "We're right behind the State Capitol (Colorado's -- not Utah's) ... and within a mile" of the Convention Center.
The Warwick Hotel is "a little bit older hotel than I personally would have picked but, yeah, we're pleased," said Taylor.

Libertarians staying at the Sheraton Denver Hotel are not only an elevator's ride away from the site of their 2008 national convention to be held this Memorial Day Weekend, they're also closer to the State Capitol in Colorado than is the Warwick Hotel.
