Becker, Billings on big game: U. willing to bet? Y. not
The Provo and Salt Lake City councils may be putting their vocal talents -- or lack thereof -- on the line for Saturday's BYU-Utah showdown, but the mayors of the two cities have some real skin in the game.

Provo Mayor Lewis Billings said the mayor of the city with the losing team will have to ride a bicycle from his city to the City Hall of the other mayor and sing the winning school's fight song. Billings said the bike ride he or Ralph Becker will have to make is scheduled for Dec. 13.

Unlike the Provo Municipal Council, whose confident members declared that they weren't going to bother learning "Utah Man," Billings said he is ready to make good if the Cougars fall. He said he already has pedaled from Bountiful with his son.
