Just To Be Clear, The Utes Are Boylen's Guys
Wyoming's Heath Schroyer wasn't the only one at whom coach Jim Boylen took aim during his weekly press conference today. He also appears to be growing weary of certain malcontents among the fans.
"I'm getting sick of it," he said.
What, exactly?
It took Boylen a little while to get around to that.
"People are trying to separate me from them," he said finally, referring to his players. "That ain't happening. That ain't happening. You're never going to hear me push people below the water to raise myself up. I ain't doing it. This is a group that is working hard."
That answer made it a bit clearer what Boylen had meant moments earlier, when he followed his "getting sick of it" comment with a somewhat cryptic explanation.
"Just want to say it one more time, so everybody hears it clear," he said. "These are my guys. This is my team. I like my team. I like my guys. I'm proud they're here. We are working at it. This is a developing group. No different than the day I got here. It's a developing group that's averaging 12 wins a year the last two years. We're going to keep working at it, and become a better team.
"We have improved in a lot of areas, on and off the floor," he added. "So I don't want any questions about, 'Are these guys tired? Are they this? Are they that? They're not your guys.' These are my guys. My guys. I said it from day one, right in this room. March 26. These are my guys. OK?"

The Utes don't belong to Coach Boylen. They belong to their fans and to the greater community in which they display their talents. Boylen will likely be a much better sport and nicer guy when he wins but at the moment, he is very hard to take and not the good example I had hoped he would be.
I think what Jim Boylen is saying is he is in it with these guys,he ash their back and is sick of people piling on these players. I respect that.
I don't know what "ash their back" means but I haven't heard many people piling on the players. They are critical of Boylen.
Right on cue.......little needs to get a life homemaker mom "ute family" once again argues with other bloggers about their postings and does not mention anything intelligent about the Utes. Every comment is directed to other bloggers. QUIT RIPPING ON PEOPLE we are all allowed to post our thoughts. You really need to get out of the house and get a life. Have you even ever played sports? I doubt it! Oops, stooped to the level of "ute family", commenting about bloggers instead of the Utes. Perhaps you could spend some time researching what blogs are for and how collegiate athletics works. Your act is getting as tired as Boylen's. Ash your back! GO UTES!
"bigutefan" -Don't attack me, dont "bully me" LOL....You are a funny dude.
BTW it's my wifes login I use.
PS I am sorry if you are offendeeasily. But I feel I should call you out when your being so ridiculously irrational this early on in Jims coaching career.
