Instead, the ACC is going to align itself with the newly formed Congressional Bowl in Washington, D.C. or the GMAC bowl in Mobile, Ala. That decision makes sense considering those bowls are a lot closer to ACC land than Idaho.
As we all know by now, the MWC is disappointed the Rocky Mountain Bowl that was proposed in April wasn't licensed by the NCAA because of concerns over its financial stability.
The bowl organization was encouraged to make another proposal next season, but I wouldn't be surprised if the MWC entertains some discussions of aligning itself with the Humanitarian Bowl. It at least is an established bowl and since it's in a neutral town wouldn't draw complaints for being a backyard bowl like other bowls have.
What do you think, do you like the idea of a MWC vs. WAC matchup on the blue field?

Love it. I wish it could be in a sunny, neutral place, but a WAC/MWC bowl matchup pitting conference champs or at least contenders against each other is long overdue.
I think we need a playoff. The Humanitarian Bowl is the equivalent of barely making it in to the NIT...
