Graba had several talks with USU athletic director Scott Barnes, but told him on Saturday he was going to stay with the Utes.
"They tried their best to get me, but they just couldn't do it," Graba said. "It just wasn't a great fit for me. My wife and I talked and decided it would be best to stay with Utah."
Graba had the blessing of Utah coach Greg Marsden to explore the possibility of taking over the USU program, knowing Graba has head coaching aspirations. For now though, Graba said he is happy to be the Utes' assistant.
"I went through the process, so much so that I was worried whether I should buy a ticket or not to go recruiting, but I'm happy with Utah, it's a great program," he said.
Corn's salary package was $99,609 and the program had an operating budget of $213,800, but the figures being offered to candidates aren't quite as attractive.
Graba's salary is $58,529.
