It was his sixth game for more than 100 yards and draws glowing remarks from coach Mike Sanford.
"He is one of those guys who has a knack for doing the right thing at the right time," he said. "He ran the ball, caught the ball, had two touchdowns. He didn't throw it but he did make a tackle on the kickoff team. Nothing against our defense, but if we played him at safety he'd probably be one of the best. He brings a lot to our team."
Utah coach Kyle Whittingham assumes the Rebels will attack first with Summers, but said the Utes can't overlook UNLV's passing game.
"It will be a balanced attack," he said.
Speaking of passing, safety Robert Johnson spent some time on the field Wednesday but is still questionable for Saturday, as are Zane Beadles and Corbin Louks. Tony Bergstrom or Corey Seiuli will start in place of Beadles, with Bergstrom having the inside track now.
On defense, Lei Talamaivao will start in place of Kenape Eliapo although freshman Sealver Siliga will play too, defensive coordinator Gary Andersen said.
