Ticket sales slow down
Well I have to admit I thought the Sugar Bowl tickets would be snapped up by now, but whether it was the computer snafu on Friday or just the poor economy, ticket sales have apparently gone a little slower after the first initial rush.
According to Utah officials, the Utes pre-sold 10,000 of their 17,500 alloted tickets to donors and season ticket holders. As of late Friday afternoon, only 2,500 more had been sold, leaving about 5,000 more available to fans.
I'm not surprised that Utah fans didn't buy all the tickets, getting to New Orleans during the holidays isn't a cheap trip. However, I am surprised more Alabama fans aren't buying the tickets since Tuscaloosa is about four hours away.
Maybe they're believing a lot of the national predictions and don't think the game is going to be worth spending $135 to see.

Story for you this morning on the bowl matchups and their importance for the MWC.
