Utah's third-down conversion rate is bad, ranking just 67th nationally (17-of-44). But I looked at the NCAA stats, at least the Utes have been better than all their opponents so far.
Oregon ranks No. 113 (8-of-36), Utah State is No. 118 (5-of-30) and San Jose State is tied with Kent State for last at No. 119 (6-of-41).
Talk about offensive struggles!
Louisville isn't much better and is right behind Utah at No. 69 (10-of-26).
Florida is the best in the country (24-of-36) while UNLV is the highest MWC team at No. 5 (21-of-36).

I think part of why utah's opponents are so low is due to their weak offenses, but also Utah is 2nd in the nation in opponent 3rd down conversion rate, and best for a team having played 3 games. Regardless of your opponents, that is pretty good. The defense has some promise, just need some work that I'm sure the coaches are focused on.
