Jammin' in the Garden
Red Butte Garden has unveiled its summer concert lineup - and, as always, it's an eclectic mix of artists. Here's the lineup:
Tickets go on sale April 20 for Red Butte members, and May 4 for everybody else. Since many shows sell out, becoming a member isn't a bad idea, says the Tribune's David Burger.
Tickets for the Smokey Robinson show, which is also The Garden Gala benefit, are on sale now.
May 31: Neko Case (pictured), with Joey & John of Calexico- June 4: Etta James & The Roots Band
- June 14: Femi Kuti, with Bela Fleck and Toumani Diabate
- June 19: Smokey Robinson
- June 21: David Byrne
- July 7: Indigo Girls
- July 13: Death Cab for Cutie, with Andrew Bird & Ra Ra Riot
- July 19: The Wallflowers
- July 31: Diana Krall
- August 4: Chicago
- August 14: Chris Isaak
- August 19: The Brotherhood Tour, featuring Los Lobos and Los Lonely Boys
- August 25: The Avett Brothers
- September 1: Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal (The "BonTaj Roulet - Alone & Together" tour)
- September 3: Booker T. and the Drive-By Truckers
