A Las Vegas icon
Danny Gans is as much a symbol of Las Vegas as slot machines and watered-down drinks.
Now, suddenly, he's gone.
The singer/impressionist, who billed himself as "The Man of Many Voices," died in his sleep this morning at his home just outside of Las Vegas. He was 52.
Gans has been a fixture in Las Vegas - with a repertoire of 200 voices, ranging from Stevie Wonder to Katharine Hepburn - since 1995. He had just reopened his show at Steve Wynn's Encore Theatre in February, after eight years at The Mirage.
